Who I Am & What I’m Doing Here
I’ve loved travel since my family took me on the Amtrak train to visit family in Jefferson City, Missouri when I was quite young. Road trips were never boring for me because I loved seeing the broken down barns along the way, wondering how long ago they’d been built and by whom and for what. I wondered who the people were in all of these tiny towns in Missouri and Kansas and Oklahoma. As I got older, I saw more and more places that only made me more curious about who lived there and why and how.
So on this site I am writing about where I’ve been, because maybe you’d like to visit those places, too. I’m also writing about where I’d still like to go (pfft everywhere!).
As a traveler, I’ve always been a fan of “what else there is to do besides what most folks are doing,” so I’m going to feature some of the unique festivals, contests, and celebrations there are in the world. I haven’t seen most of these places yet, but when I do, you’ll be the first to know! Until then, I’ll be sure to share what I can find so you can go!!
